What is Downstream Plasma?
Downstream plasma refers to plasma generated in one location and then directed onto a substrate located elsewhere. This separation minimizes ion bombardment while allowing reactive species to modify surfaces effectively. Downstream plasma treatments are widely used in delicate applications such as photoresist removal, polymer processing, and biomedical sterilization.
